Glad.

"Bid me run, and I will strive with things impossible."

William Shakespeare

Just finished watching this cool show on superheroes and whether their powers can be able to be duplicated by normal humans. The coolest of all these feats is definitely a technology in the US that enable metallic implants in the human body to grow. It is supposed to manipulate the growth spurt of a young patient. The other cool thing was the manipulation of lightning in a lightning storm. It really proves that lightning can strike anything twice. Speaking of cool, a cool thing is the finances of the rugby team. I was shocked beyond belief of the amount available to us. Other CCAs must be digging in their claws in our backs if they had known the financial state of rugby. Actually, only the four of us inside the team know. I think I rather have them not know. I think the other three would agree with me. By the way, Congrats to Manan, Saha and Sadiq. The team has chosen the four of us and we cannot let them down. Rather we must do all we have promised and justify their choices. But right now I'm just happy.

The Weekend.

Long weekend, considering where I was the whole time. I could almost feel my body ageing at an alarming rate. Maybe I should cut down on the intensity of activities I have been doing. Heck, and I thought I was still fourteen mentally.

Friday was an easy day. The only bad thing was chemistry file checking. Even that fear was unwarranted. Miss Lee said that we can change our grades if we work hard enough and gave a few examples, namely me. Please hold while I blow my trumpet for a while more. We learned playing tens during rugby and it was one of the more confusing sessions. Had physical circuits beforehand and free lunch even before that. Strangely my stomach didn't even fart during training. Ok, so I'm lightweight and I can fly when the tackles come. But at least I fly pretty Sadiq. So back to the tens. There were some beautiful tries coming from both teams but overall I think Saha's team won. Still, I scored the last try and although it's a bit cheap, it's still a try. Besides, I learned from the best ;). The AGM after that was long..and long. You should know who I picked for captain. As for me, I already have my hands full linking the backs and the forwards. Oh, by the way, happy birthday baby..

Saturday was..fast. Didn't do much, just went out to Geylang Serai with the whole family and ate our stomaches off. There isn't much in Geylang nowadays although some amazing things can still be found. Oh shit, no wonder it was a fast day. I was supposes to go to a CC with Chrishan and do the project work interview. Damn.

Today was...long. Went to East Coast and had a picnic with family again. Swam, choked on a few bucketsfull of seawater and froze my ass off when I was trying to dry myself. Went to town again to spend some time with my other brothers. Ramdan is a funny! jackass when he's not with Silah. Faizal was a few hours short of sleep and Sadiq was...lame. So that's where all my time has gone to. Being lame.

Helena.

This is to you.

Long ago
Just like the hearse you die to get in again
We are so far from you

Burning on just like a match you start to incinerate
The lives of everyone you know
And what's the worst you take (worst you take)
from every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well I've been holding on tight

What's the worst thing I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight

Came a time
When every star fall brought you to tears again
We are the very hurt you sold
And what's the worst you take (worst you take)
from every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well I've been holding on tight

What's the worst thing I could say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight
Well if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight

Can you hear me?
Are you near me?
Can we pretend
To leave and then
We'll meet again when both our cars collide

What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight
Well if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight

Irony: A play on lives.

Today wasn't one of the best Wednesdays in my lives. Sure there were memorable moments. In fact there were more memorable moments today than in most days with memorable moments. So that makes today what, a exceptionally memorable day or am I screwing you over with monotonous words? To reiterate my point thus, today wasn't so much a good day as any other day, although it contains more memorable moments than any other day with memorable moments.

I was this close to being late for school. By this, I meant the diameter of a strand of hair on a rat's ass. And my ass would have been been pretty much a sorry sight if I had. Glad to say I wasn't. Otherwise I would be a real sorry sight. But I was a sorry sight when I saw my maths paper. Now I'm sad to say that I was. Out of a hundred possible marks for fifteen questions, all I freaking got was one for question one. A bloody freaking mark! For three freaking hours I freaking sat in a freaking cold room, writing freaking shit on a few freaking pieces of freaking paper, freaking numbed my already freaking brain and freaking out at the last freaking question, and all I freaking got was a freaking mark for my freaking maths freaking paper! Ok, had to blow some shit there. But otherwise, the three maths periods I had with Mr Saw was freaking incredible! Mr Saw Seng Huat of Chua Chu Kang, if you're reading this, you are the Bomb! Damn, I might not learn maths from this guy, but I sure as hell have to learn Sarcasm 101 from him. I could see that he was sad that his whole class flunked the paper, he sure as hell didn't show it. Instead he bastard (pardon the wrong usage of bastard, but you get what I mean) the whole class. He bastard Endy who got lower than me, he bastard Yu Wei who got a AO pass, hell, he even bastard me thrice! And the best thing was, I was only 20% insulted. It was 80% awe with the mouths open. And then laughter. Maybe a few claps after that. Holy crap, and to think 04S3 hates this guy. I got to make Mr Saw the Patron Saint of bastarding scrumhalves.

The other significant moment was receiving my chemistry paper. I bloody passed it with a few colours thrown in. Ok, so I got a D, but it was a mark off a C and lot of marks more than the F I got in the common test. Even more applaudable was the fact 04S4 got the highest amount of passes with the second highest average. Now that makes me really proud to be a Singaporean. Or not.

And then there was the National track and field finals. It was held at the Chua Chu Kang Stadium instead of the usual National Stadium. MI's only finalists are the 4*100 girls, and they were great in my books. Losing would always makes one sad, but be strong about it and learn from experience. Other than that, the MI crowd was a ruckus! Hafiz was...Hafiz, Sangee, Anusha and Yasmeen were hopping mad, Jacq was like, Get a life NPCC!, and Siti was crazy about Ahmad Nabil. I think I was the one that brought a calming presence to the crowd. Or not. Still, we had a lot of fun screwing up Hafiz, the NPCC and the mat's school. SSS conquered the relays, although I think they should get NJC's passing coach because their passing is AWFUL! But then, they still won it through pure raw speed. Independant schools, eat your hearts out. Another thing. How the heck Chua Ee Ghim can get 4th in the 1500m is beyond my sense of reasoning. He never really kicked in the last 200m and allow Jeffrey Ng too much of a gap to catch. You should have gone out with a bang. Not being ten metres behind.

I'll be damned.

I'm sick and tired of being where I'm not needed. Case in point; today at Farrer Park. I know today we had a nice time outdoors, but I went out in the first place with the match in mind. I also know the Wanderers' players are big motherfuckers and I must have had a suicide wish if I had thought to mess with people thrice my weight. But at least I could be acknowledged for coming down you know. But there I was, basically unknown to most but a few, and I was wondering why the fuck I had turn up. If it's because of my perceived non-aggresiveness, then I'll be damned. We'll see about that in training.

Ah....

Damn my flu. Makes one unable to smell the sweet aroma of food. Also lower the brain activity of oneself, making one less sarcastic, sadistic and more susceptible to verbal backstabs. Two in fact, one from Nas, the other from Sadiq. The backlashes were so sweet but for the fact that they were aimed at me. The only good that come out of today is probably...nothing. Mr Azlan said that we might go on a training tour. Alas, it is only for players with good academic results. Now Zaki and good grades are perfectly oxymoronic. So that's out. Another was the announcement that we would be picking the captaincy of the team during the AGM. Now you know me. I have been paranoid ever since the day Jacko was accused of molest. So that's like long time ago. Anyway, I have a gut feeling that I might be picked for some obscure thing like reserve scrumhalf of the year. I have always been afraid that I wouldn't be able to make the cut for scrumhalf. Not for the first time. And being the true follower of Cynicus; whose works you should really read, I have been putting myself down awfully hard lately. That's the thing. Self-doubt will always spread to the whole team, to the extent that panic and chaos take over and discipline breaks down. I've seen it happen to the team during the CJC match. And I believe the team hasn't recovered since. Who then, shall bring the team up to its feet? Sadiq, Saha, Manan, Akira, Zhi Wei, Gabriel, Anders, Faisal, me? All I know now is that I got to bear my share of the team's weight and get over this social disorder. And be sarcastic for Chels.

Finally.

Today, a paper that I can actually do. I'm so glad. There's no need to talk about passing chemistry, my other papers were as useful as old tea bags. Not that old tea bags don't have a useful existence. I mean, old condoms get recycled as car tyres and baby bottle nipples. Oh crap, here I go again rambling needlessly. You know, a certain someone, whom I shall call JCJ, actually told me that my blog is difficult to read due to the overuse of rhetoric and analogies. I mean, if it's good enough for Mr Andrew, I figured any numbnut would be able to understand the words that are coming out of my keyboard(Ok, a poor attempt at Rush hour). So JCJ, there goes my answer to your retort. And please tell me who is the guy. Please...(This is not directed at any homosexuals, namely Hardi.)

Speaking of Hardi, it turns out that I actually knew Mariam; Hardi's girlfriend, from way last time. I mean, I was shocked when this source of mine, whom I shall again call JCJ, related to me that Mariam has been telling me quite a lot of things about me to my source. My source actually managed to be convinced that I used to go to Jurongville Secondary. For once and bloody all, my alma mater is bloody Hong Kah! Yes, the one with the super lumiscent green school uniform. Shit, there goes my story to Nabilah that I was from SJI. Haha..some people are just so gullible. Well anyway, turns out Mariam used to be close to Kartini. Sorry Kartini, I really don't remember. Damn,I don't usually forget pretty girls that I go out with. My brain must have been asleep.

Easy day.

It's one of those days when you can get up late in the morning and pretty much do anything you want. Except I had too much to do. On a day when I had no paper scheduled, I came to school to revise organic chemistry with Sadiq. It was mainly finishing up what I already knew. As for maths tomorrow, I got a pretty good idea of the grade I would be achieving, so I had no qualms about not doing revising it. When I got home, there were some people looking over the house. Anyway what I had dreaded has come true; we are going to shift to Teck Why. I mean, the new house has a nice view(fourteenth storey man!),is pretty neat and all, but I'm really reluctant to go anyway but stay in Jurong East. Well I guess we just have to swallow it and move on. Except I'm extremely unadaptable.

Wondering.

"There is no shame in error:
The first error is overlooked,
The second error is noted,
And the third is acted upon."
Celtic Wisdom

Just now ought to be the seventy-sixth error since I was born. The first got to be that my dad had an off day that night; otherwise I couldn't very well be the fastest out of a million other sperm. Allright, that might be a bit too revealing. As for the last error I made, it is to never attempt to read your notes at the last minute; it seres no purpose other than to mess your already muddled mind up further. Case in point: my physics paper was a complete disasater. Emphasis is placed on complete. If you know the difference between gravitational field strength and gravitational potential at a point please call me, for I sure as hell don't know shit. Why the heck you need to know Kirchoff's Laws is beyond me, I'm not the kind to put my fingers into the main plug. Ah well, at least that is over.

By the way, guess who made their debut for Lion Red Rugby Football Club as a scrumhalf? Haha, I was glad that I came down to the police academy. I never really thought I was going to play until my brother had to go to work and return my stuff. So what the heck, I just changed up and got onto the field within the last twenty minutes. Oh yeah, it was a hell of an eye-opener for me. I mean, Sam Chan, my coach, played his first match in three years. And tore his shorts. Hell, I got to go more to this kind of stuff. And to think people usually play for their school first and then club.
