Words.

Knowledge is proud that he has learned so much; wisdom is humble that he knows no more.

How true.

Respect.

Of all the events that occurred these past few weeks,I think the one that happened this week was the most life-changing. My HKSS friends, especially the class 4C of 2004, ought to know. Mr Chan Kok Keong died last Monday of cancer. CKK, Chan Mali Chan, The old fat man, whatever euphemism you have called him, had finally left the building. Man, I can still remember his awful attempts at instilling some civic morality in us, and most of the lessons failed miserably.

How he tried to make the guys in my class run rounds at the field for reckless behaviour in class which involved a soccer ball and two ceiling fans.
How he tried his ineffective rhetoric on us, while Senthil and I sniggered at his lack of verbal sophistication.
How he tried to make everyone stay back in class for one whole week, when no one admitted to throwing soaked tissues through the window. And oh boy it failed.
How he claimed he could see us outside of class miles away, which was bullshit as he was busy eating in the canteen.
How he upset Jessie over her ear studs. Heh, that one I can remember. On the last day of school ever, how we searched his art room for traces of ciggarettes, ashtrays, lighters, and musty smell of Dunhill he was rumoured to smoke.
How he would make us the last, or the first, to go after recess, and just ignore the DM's instructions because he can.
How he would put his hand into his hip pocket and shaked it about while I come up with a reason why I didn't have a MC when I was absent for a week.(That was nerve-wreaking)
How his sarcasm at my failure to focus on my studies worked, resulting in the O Level certificate he handed to me being full with A2s and B3s.
How he was proud to have so many CCA leaders in their own right,in his form class.

God, I wished I could hear his stupid stories once more, for old time's sake. That swagger of his, talking to all the girls while conviently ignoring the guys. See him stroll down the class while guys were cursing under their breath. Hear him lose another argument with a bunch of kids four times younger than him. It ain't over till the fat man sings, and he finally did last week.

He was supposed to be 61 years old today.

LGM DnD 2005

The Dinner and Dance was a sordid affair,if you were to ask me. I had to wear a yellowish-gold Kungfu suit as my department got stuck with the oriental theme. God,the indignity of wearing that while all the other guys wore suits and all. The food was allright, the booze and wine free-flow(too bad I can't take advantage of that) and the music was fantastic. So I whored down on the unlimited sprite, marshmallows in chocolate fondue and the bread rolls with amazing lobster bisque. And I got the 12th prize for the lucky draw;a (useless?) $250 Bonafides Spa voucher. Oh well,I wished I had gotten the $100 Takashimaya voucher with $100 cash,it is more valuable to me. Now let me drift back into yesterday's memories.

Fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars..

Ditto.

Shit. That is what life consists mainly of. Pure bullshit made in the morning. My friend Senthil once complimented me on the superfluous use of vocabulary in my conversations with him. Well for once my brilliant language skills has failed me in describing the events that have been allowed to occur in my pitiful life.

Firstly, J.K. Rowling thinking of killing off Harry Potter? By Merlin's beard, NO! Oh the horror all the fans are going through once they read the final book. Actually I don't mind Harry, please just don't finish off AR-MY-NIE!
Please no. Please...I'm willing to take the dementor's kiss for this.

Secondly, Admin has resetted the blitz guild server on TR! And I'm one of the first few! Well #552 exactly..Still,I'm going to finish researching ascendant within a day or two. Maybe within the week I might be able to start ranking up. Too bad I'm not able to catfish or warmage just yet. What the heck am I supposed to do, cast love and peace on fellow multi-mages? I'm bloody white for goodness sake.

God,it's been a while since the war of the words. And it's starting all over again. Well I'm sure(like hell) that somebody here listened to the interview between Carrie Gracie for the BBC's The Interview and Gerry Adams, the President of the Sinn Fein. God, Ol' Gerry Adams must have known he was walking onto a devastating minefield, albeit a verbal one. The first part of the interview went innocently enough, with questions asked about his family and all. And then, Bam! Shit start flying at him, bombs started to get thrown at him by Gracie. She continued to blast him over the violence condoned by the IRA and the fact about his vehement denials is because he had to deny those allegations as he is a leader of Sinn Fein. I think it's no longer a political agenda he is pursuing , seeing that he almost got assasinated again last week. Nah, it's loyalty he is showing to his country, and that's alot to ask when we have people having no qualms about changing their freaking opinions about each other. Gritty, absolute loyalty to his cause, his country, his family. Thaksin and Songdhi should quit fucking each other. The King of Thailand got it right; everyone makes mistakes. And I fucking accept that piece of opinion. Not the ones I'm getting now.

Insommia due to a starry night.

I'm nuts about this song. So mad that I even have to find the lyrics on the net. You know the Soo Kee Jewellery ad,the one with the acostic music? Yeah, that's the one. As it turns, I can't yahooed or goggled it. So I had to listen to the television commercial over and over again to get the whole freaking lyrics. It's worth it, though. And now I have a mad urge to buy my girlfriend a diamond ring.

Quietly, the starlight glows
Moments shared, not long ago
So true so long,hmm..

The nights so dear,hmm..
Sparkling, dazzling
Stars and us alone.

Anyway you can find the commercial
here.

Backache.

The game was,in a word, painful. I made mistakes, so did everyone. I made some good calls,so did everyone. We played one man short against undoubtably one of the dirtier teams in B division. We might have drawed against them, but I believe that our cooler heads prevailed. We had let them dictate the game in the first half, and I don't think the referee could become an honest judge.

Sadiq and Saha scored beautiful tries and I lament the multiple attempts that could have been tries if not for the blindedness of the referee and the dirty tactics employed by the younger and immature team. My God, I'm so bloody proud of my forwards yesterday; despite being one man short, their mauls, rucks and drives were so fantastic I had no problem recyling the ball to the backs. It was beautiful to watch, just like the Saint Andrews' forward drives. God,if our teamplay could improve with just two days of training, just imagine with four months of training. We would be up there with teams with five years' experience. SAJC, ACJC, RJC; we would be able to hold them to a truce. But consistency is paramount; with only a squad of eighteen players, everyone must do their part and put their all in training.

I know I must,my performance in the match was dismal; according to Faizal who was with Ah Chuan at the sidelines. Every few seconds Ah Chuan will cry out,"Zaki, what are you doing?!". Seeing that Ah Chuan was invoking my name in vain even more than God's name, I realised something is seriously amiss with my play. The only thing I was happy with was that my supertackle attack work; I could hear the guy go "hmmph!" when I jumped down on his back after Saleh and Adam missed him.

The other thing I was happy about was that I made myself Greenridge's public enemy number one. I realised that they were targeting certain players in my team and causing them more stress and pressure on themselves. I can't let that happen to my team which was having difficulty focusing on their play. So I took it upon myself to piss the Greenridge team off. And so they were; they were so engrossed about killing me that they forgot about pissing off the rest of my team. I didn't count the number of "late" tackles that I received. The amount of elbows to my head during the second half. It was my sacrifice; having Greenridge take dirty punches at me so that my team can play properly. And I am so proud of that.
